Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life.  Working together we can design and create a  unique ceremony that reflects your wishes and ideas and that truly reflects the love story that brings you together as a couple.

Every ceremony is unique,  like all couples and your ceremony will be personal to you. Assistance can be provided with wording for vows and for the exchange of rings

We can consider a variety of options to include religious or non-religious readings, music or poems. You may want additional traditional options such as a hand fasting ceremony or a unity candle or even a themed ceremony to reflect your personal interests or hobbies! The list is endless. It’s your day, it’s your choice.

It is usual for couples to register your marriage quietly at a register office or other legally licensed premises first and follow that with the personal,  bespoke celebrant led ceremony of your own design that is perfect to you both and truly reflects your love for each other, your relationship and future hopes and dreams. This ceremony can take place anywhere, is not restricted to legally licensed venues and can be held indoors or outside with no restrictions.

You may even choose a beach destination wedding in the UK or even abroad.

My aim is to ensure that you have a most amazing wedding day reflective of you as a loving couple, your lives and your family and friends.

Advice on undertaking the legal registration of marriage can be found at you local Register Office.

If you do not wish to be legally married but would like a public commitment ceremony instead. we can create something awesome.

Renewal of Vows Ceremonies

Whether you have been a partnership for 1 year or 50, renewing your commitment to each other can be a wonderful way to celebrate your lasting relationship and confirm your mutual love and respect and continuing future together.

You may wish to renew your original vows or make new vows for the next stage in your lives. You may wish to include vows to and with your children. You might like to include some religious elements.

Whatever your preferences are I am very happy to support the planning of the ceremony and officiate at your choice of ceremony style and location.

We can work together to design the perfect ceremony that reflects your lives together as a married couple and to acknowledge and share publicly your continuing love for each other.

Working together we will:

  • Meet at a mutually convenient time and location to discuss your wishes
  • Draft the wording that truly reflects your relationship
  • Discuss and agree  poems, readings, music and Vow wording as required
  • Agree the format of the ceremony.
  • Agree the structure and layout of the ceremony venue to your personal specification

Feel free to contact me on the form below to discuss your plans and start planning and designing your perfect day.

Don't forget that 29th February is a date when its traditional for ladies to have the 'right' to propose to their man. I did it for fun in 2000 and was married 18 months later.

Women Propose to Their Men
According to an old Irish legend, or possibly history, St Brigid struck a deal with St Patrick to allow women to propose to men – and not just the other way around – every four years.
This is believed to have been introduced to balance the traditional roles of men and women in a similar way to how leap day balances the calendar.

If you are planning a proposal why not consider a bespoke Celebrant led wedding as part of those plans. Give me a call or send me a message to allow me to be part of your special day!

Fridays ceremony took place in the beautiful cemetery chapel followed by a burial. Long serving military man. Guard of honour for the hearse and a bagpiper to play him into the chapel. Some beautiful family memories through the ages and some amusing military stories. A beautiful grandfather poem read by a very proud and very young grand daughter. Time to stand down. Duty is done.

Today I helped a small gathering say goodbye to a wonderful 94 year old Granny who had led a most challenging life facing all sorts of adversity including an ex husband who had an eye for the ladies. She had everything thrown at her but raised a lovely family of 4 boys mainly singlehandedly whilst working as a teacher and providing a stable and culturally rich home life. All 3 grand daughters participated in the ceremony, one reading memories of Granny, one reading a beautiful A A Milne poem and one singing for the reflection a rendition of Both sides Now' playing her ukulele which was just beautiful. The ceremony ended with us all singing along to 'Morecambe and Wise's Bring me Sunshine'. And the sun was shining as we left!
